Kindle Your Social Life --- We're Making Reading Cool Again

This has been a big issue with me. It doesn't fit in my pocket. I don't like to carry it in my hand b/c I am afraid I will set it down somewhere and never see it again. I am very forgetful. I wonder if anyone has devised a carry case that might fit on one's belt or something. sort of like a pistol. :-)

Cuechick has been working with Borsa Bella on bags but they seem to be more for women. I wonder if they have a more masculine version.

try www.maruca.com -- they have a nice fabric collection of bags specifically for men.

I just bought a case for a Day-timer calendar that is a perfect fit. It is hard enough to provide protection and soft enough to avoid scratches. AND - it was only $12 bucks instead of $30!

Mine is in my new M-edge spine lock executive leather case, which in turn goes in the middle pocket of my backpack.

I found a canvas zippered book cover at a local (national) Book Vendor. It holds the Kindle, book light, earphones, power cable and USB perfectly. The cover has a handle..you could slip it through the belt.

Shortly after receiving my Kindle 2 I wanted to find a shirt where I could put my Kindle in a pocket. To my amazement, I found a shirt in short order. It is sold by Columbiao ( a popular short maker). I can't find any info on the specific shirt, but it is intended for fishermen. There are several pocket and the top pockets on both sides accept a Kindle (without a cover) very easily. The tag says "208 FM7130". It also says "003299" and "BY2-1080" and "RN69724" and "CA 05287".

Hope this helps.

Bob

I would recommend using a travel vest with the pocket in the back that will easily hold a regular book when you know you are goin to carry it.

I'm getting one of these, there is a waist belt attachment that you can use to keep it at your side or remove if you like. It will double as my man purse/holster. =)

Let me get this straight. You want suggestions on how to carry something? A Kindle for example? You are afraid to carry it using your hands because you might put it down and forget about it? Shouldn't you be more worried that you won't remember what you read on the device? Perhaps you have even forgotten that you posted this really stupid question? If so, you won't be offended when I suggest that you staple the damned thing onto your forehead? Oh, wait, a moment of clarity will hit you and you'll think someone has just put a pistol to your head. Duck! Duck quickly, you bloody idjit! Oops, too late

I am so excited to have just found this forum, and a group of people who love their kindles, as I love mine. Here's a picture of a purse that I crocheted that fits my kindle perfectly. I didn't want to put it in my regular/larger purse; the nice thing about the long handle is I can loop it over my head and it stays attached to me, without fear of leaving it somewhere, or advertising to everyone I have something worth taking.
