Kindle Your Social Life --- We're Making Reading Cool Again

Not sure if any of you are aware that the Now Now feature has been laid to rest. I wrote to Amazon and the reply was because there wasn't enough interest. I find this odd with the onset of new Kindle owners via the Oprah promotion and the fact that the holidays are upon us. I used this feature and found it fabulous! I am trying to get folks to write to kindle-feedback@amazon.com to, perhaps show an interest in the Now Now.

What was Now Now?
Now Now was the Experiental feature that allowed the user to ask any question and Now Now would provide an answer within a short amount of time. Usually gave three answers.
Thanks for the info! I sent NowNow a question, asking if it was still in operation, and--this was a Zen moment--it answered that it had been discontinued. I used this as a news item in today's Kindle Chronicles podcast, which I'll be uploading in a few minutes.
I loved Now Now. I juat discovered that it isn't available anymore. I did notice it was taking longer and longer to get answers.

I will wrie to them about it. We need to write about how awesome web browsers are so that doesn't get lost as well.

Maybe it will come back -- why do they still have the option available?
I've never used the NowNow feature ( too late now!!) but I have used the web browser a bit. I occasionally use the browser when an item comes up in conversation that needs to be verified! I generally just read, and If I want to surf I use my computer!
I tried it once a few weeks ago and it took four days for an answer that really wasn't very good. So I don't really miss it.
The replies I got to the one I sent were the first google results found and they were not really apropos to the question. So I didn't use it again. They were doing simple google searches, except for the 3rd person who was really conscientious and and wrote that he was giving me 3 possibilities but realized they didn't quite give what I wanted. He was great, but the other two were not inspiring.

Also, the language in the manual says the service was free while in experimental phase, and I don't think it would have brought in a lot of money once they started charging for it.
