Kindle Your Social Life --- We're Making Reading Cool Again

I'm looking for someone in my area so I can see if/how the Kindle works here. I'm in Leadville, CO about 100 west of Denver

alison, it'd help to write down where you live. also take a look at http://www.booksummit.com/page/page/show?id=2198514%3APage%3A717. The map wiki has listings of members (only those who've opted to add info) so you might find someone close to where you live.

Thanks for the hint. There is a Borders about 35 miles from here, so I might check with them.

I'm sorry I'm not close enough to help but FYI the Kindle uses Sprint's EVDO wireless network, so if you know anybody who has a Sprint phone I think that might give you an idea.

Allison -- I am in the northern front range. The next time I head up skiing, I'll let you have a look at mine! I know I have downloaded books near there, but I'm not sure I have done it in Leadville. If you find out before then, let me know because I am looking for a weekend house in Leadville and I'd love to know if it works there.
