Kindle Your Social Life --- We're Making Reading Cool Again

I have used one tiny dot of velcro to secure my kindle to its original cover. It is in the little "pocket" that secures the top left corner of the Kindle. The corresponding piece is on the top left corner of the Kindle. It works very well.

I used a small square of Velcro in the bottom right corner. Works like a charm, and what I like better about the bottom (instead of putting it at the top) is that I can still pull the top left corner just shy of the cover in order to get to the on/off button and the Whispernet button. without having to take apart the Velcro.

I would think Velcro in the upper right would make that tough and you'd have to un-Velcro it to get to the buttons.

Velcro anywhere around there, though, certainly keeps the thing in place. There's literally no slipping around in the case at all now. (I'm not really ready to fork over more money for a different cover yet.) :)

Great tip.

Does it get in the way if you read without the cover?

I put the velcro on my kindle on the top left corner because then it won't be rubbing up against clothes, etc., if I read without the cover. (I hate the way velcro can snag fibers.) Also, it has not made it difficult to get to the back to turn the whisper net button on and off. You could try it and if it doesn't work, just peel it off and use a dab of goo-gone to remove residue.

I solved that by putting the loop side on the kindle and the hook side on the cover. That way only the soft fuzzy part of the velcro can come in contact with your clothes, etc when it's out of the cover! ( but then, I rarely read with it out of the cover)
