"I'd call customer service at 1-866-321-8851 They're very helpful! They'll go through steps with you. And if it doesn't revive itself, and you are within a year's warranty, they'll send you a replacement."

Yes, I am familiar with the Vineville area. My late sister lived in that area, and yes I know Dr. Wilder. And yes I went to Mercer, back in a previous interglacial period !! The reason I wrote a history of Macon is that I was contracted to do it by a national historical press. Also, I just enjoy history.

Hi--I'm in Houston County, south of Macon....very familiar with Macon because I went to college there and also, in 1989, wrote the city history.

When you get a minute, please check out my three Kindle books at Amazon. Just use my name to search, and they will pop up. Or, if you prefer to search by title, they are:

1. Assignment in Antibua
2. Julius Caesar
3. Spymaster

Many thanks.

I love it - I wish I had more time to read :)
I downloaded lots of sample chapters - good for the short attention span theater... But I'm wondering if the ability to read samples will actually lead to me reading fewer whole books! Usually if I buy a book, I feel committed to read it. But if I get a free sample and only feel lukewarm about it... no sale, no read.

So far I'm pretty impressed.

Profile Information

About Me
The usual suspects in my life: Husband, Kids, Dog.
Job: Editor
Likes: Gadgets and reading (surprise?), outdoor sports you DO, reality TV, LOST
Dislikes: Housework of any sort, paying for a maid (bad combo, that), people who believe everything they get in e-mail and then pledge to vote for the next president based on that crap.
Book(s) I'm Currently Reading
Flood, a couple of Disney planning guides, 20 other books in queue (e-books and paper books). Overwhelmed with choices. Choosing non-heady, brain-candy type of stuff for a bit.
Favourite Books, Book Genres and Favourite Authors
Most anything. Cereal boxes. Magazines. Just about any good book. Road signs.
